7:10 PM - 7:15 PM - Seating Begins

  • Guests will be directed to their seats.

  • Ushers will assist with locating seating assignments.

7:30 PM - Play Begins

  • Title: Camp Logan

    • A powerful drama centered on the historic events of the 1917 Houston Riot, focusing on the bravery and trials of African American soldiers during World War I.

  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including a 15-minute intermission.

Camp Logan “Night at the Ensemble”

Join the NAACP Houston Branch Veteran’s Affairs Committee for an advanced private screening of the Camp Logan Play on January 23rd at 7:30 PM.

Inspired by actual events, Camp Logan is an award-winning World War I military drama about the devastating explosion of racial tensions that resulted in the 1917 Houston riot, involving an all-black Army regiment stationed in Houston, Texas.
